    Disco1 Hub Nut

Any one know what the size of the disco (97 Disco S1, V8) hub nut is ? So I can go and buy one, have to replace all my discs this week.

Also do you know where I can get one in Melbourne ? After one that goes on the end of a wrench !!!

    Matt.

You can get a special tube spanner for about 20 bucks from any specialist. I got one from 4WD at Middleborough a few years ago. I think it was $20.

I'm not at home to measure it but 2-1/16 sounds familiar. Nevertheless, I bought a very cheap pressed steel tube spanner from Four Wheel Drives in Melbourne (don't know the suburb - I'm from Sydney and bought it on one of my orders from them).

52mm officially, but Ron is spot on with 2 1/16 as a substitute.

52mm! Now I know what all those humungous russian socket sets are in Super cheap. They are for landrover owners. They seem to range up to 90mm. I thought for caterpillar dozers, but must be for Landrover.
Lets face it I think the sump plug on a series one Disco is over kill, or jusat war surplus from a sherman tank? LOL 8O

Yep, are for LR Owners except all those sets at Super¢heap are sold incomplete. They should come with 3ft handle extension for tightening nuts back up. Some parts have quite crazy torque settings.

Don't laugh, I had a 4 foot long piece if water pipe attached to the end of my breaker bar and socket, protruding out from the top of the enging bay to undo the crank shaft nut. I was on *&^&ing tight. 8O 8O 8O
