Tweaking TDi injector pumps?

NOZ mentioned in a thread on the chat forum that he had a guy tweak his injector pump to improve low RPM power delivery on his TDi disco. Has anyone done this themselves. Is it easy, and does it affect cruising and hig RPM work? Matt

    Its a good read.

I would also recommend a better flowing exhaust, I had that done before the pump.

Thanks TuffRR, i would love to do it, but dont know if i would be game. I cant afford to fix stuff when it breaks, especially something as expensive as an injector pump. Matt

I've had 25degrees rotation on the boost diaphram together with 60degrees rotation on the max fuel screw for about 3months now. No smoke or other ill effects, noticably more power, also slightly better ecomony. I do have an EGT and my temps only get to 600 at full load on a hot day.
