Anyone done a 5sp Manual to Auto Conversion?
My 5 speed gearbox is cactus on the Rangy and i am wondering what is involved in doing a coversion to auto... what extra bits and pieces need to be replaced?

Yep.
very easy.
Buy gear box and all parts from:
toorak tractor.
triumph rover spares
ect.
cost from 1500-1800 for all parts inc nuts bolts selector.

The December edition of 'Land Rover Enthusiast' Magazine has an article on changing the 5 speed to a ZF Auto in a Defender.
It was quite easy.
