    Leaking rear main seal

    G'day,
Can anyone tell me what's it's likely to cost to fix rear main on a td5 II and should I take it to Landrover or use a local mechanic for the job? I've been doing most of the fixes on it myself but think this is way above me. Can anyone recommend someone near Shepparton VIC Who is familiar with Landrovers?
    Thank you in advance.

It's all good, I found the list of Landy repairers and got onto McPherson Motors Shepp. Thanks.

Make sure if they replace the seal they fit a speedy sleeve to the crank.

I think when they did the auto in mine they replaced the seal onto the worn crank so it leaks again...

And smell the leaking oil to make sure it's not actually diesel as a leaking fuel pressure regulator ( as well as leaking rocker cover gasket ) is much more common than a leaking rear main seal.
    Cheers
