    The only reason (well maybe there is another ) I haven't bought some of these boxes is because I like to be able to 'short shift', especially off road.

    Short shift or skip shift?

    Short shift just means changing up gears "early". Which you can do with a sequential box.
    Skip shift is missing ratios, either up or down. For example: 1-2-4-5, rather than 1-2-3-4-5.

    Sorry BigJon, from your definition I meant skip shift. Particularly down shifting.

    Have a look at Medatronics Corporation's 5 Speed Home page! for high performance high horsepower gearboxes and repair parts. Much cheaper than Quaife.
