Another way of getting the seat to go back further is to put a spacer between the seat runners & the seat box.
If you look at the back of the runner, there is a "lip" which stops the runner going back very far. Adding the spacer (a length of narrow box section will do) means that the runner will clear this lip giving you greater leg room. 8)

Ahh smart Fella...
While we are on the topic of fender seats.. who has seat covers on and what do you think about them. im trying to order 4wdprotection woodland pattern but there customer service is not existant, so now thinking ofblack duck or rough country from auto1 or auto pro.
Mainly concerned about the feel of the water proof canvas is it ok to sit on for 12 hours strait?
I have canvas ones for the Disco. Great covers... they feel like vinyl but not sticky...

or just trim where the the runners need to pass?
would this be easier, or it still wont go back far enough?
