IIRC... (i.e. without getting off my @rse & having a look) you'd need to trim quite a bit.

The advantage of raising it slightly is that it makes for a better driving position too.

Try the lifing trick

Otherwise - -

Cut out the back window frame

I have seen this done in series 3 comp truck and the seat was so far back you could outstretch your arms

Hmm if i raise the sear my head will hit the roof.

If I cut out the window frame won;t matter as my head already hist the bulkhead above the frame. I'd have to delete the entire bulkhead which I doubt would do the structural integrity off the cab much good.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Mainly concerned about the feel of the water proof canvas is it ok to sit on for 12 hours strait?
I just pulled the Sheep Skin ones of the Defender i bought.
Seats are spot on, so i'll leave the covers off. Might just wash them and store them away...

why do you need seat covers in a defender?

dirt is part of the parcel.
even grease can be removed from the seats using prepsol (wax & grease remover)and a rag.

dirt isnt the issue
I want seat covers cos my back drips with sweat but even worse my skin sticks to the seat and when the car bounces around it kills.

oh and i have small holes in the seats already from where i forgot to take my ammo belt off and the projectile stabs it.

Seat Covers

I have Takla seat covers, made and distributed in WA. Not sticky and are quite comfortable not to mention waterproof. They Have two grades canvas and another waterproof material that is much better. I have the better grade material. They have great service and quick delivery. web www.takla.com.au
The passenger leg room is a huge problem. Could have been engineered out fairly easily. I am in the same boat do I cut the missus legs off or mt boy's. Ahh dilemas.

Canvas seat covers

I personally dont like canvas seat covers or vinly and especially in utes. When i was working in the mines i got third degree burns every time i jumped in the work utes wearing shorts I like sheep skins covers as they are cooler and put a towel on that if i have grease or crud over my clothes. Personal preference and depends where you live. Over 40 here today so did not get burnt arse!!
