For the past few weeks I have noticed oil on the injection pump side of the block more or less on the head gasket joint level.
Cleaned it off with degreaser, idled the engine for a while, no visible sign of oil coming out, inspect later after a run and there it is again.
Not seeming to be coming from the rocker gasket or injector studs but a definite coating of fresh oil along the block.
This morning I determined to get to the source and thought check the hose clips on the breather hoses. No oil on the hoses, but underneath the front hose clip was a good drip of oil but nothing running down the hose.
Pulled the hose off and right at the edge where the clip fits was a 6mm. crack right through the hose.
The drip was dropping, or being blown straight down to the block and I make this post in case anyone else has this odd leak. One could expect the oil to be more down the side of the rocker cover/head.
Because I need the wagon, taped it with insulation tape (which I know wont last) until I source a replacement.
The only oil leak the old girl has ever had. (touch wood!)
