TD5 Rotor Filter Housing Recoil Kit

I recently repaired the threads on my rotor filter housing. Now I have a recoil kit (M6) sitting around doing nothing. If anybody would like to do this job and needs a kit please let me know and I can post it out.

    Rotor Filter Housing

I never thought I would need to do this job as I have always used a torque wrench, but sure enough while travelling around Oz I did a service and both threads stripped out. Luckily longer bolts gripped well enough to get me home.

For anyone doing this job I would highly recommend buying an extra long 1/4 drill bit. The holes are a bit tricky to get to with a standard piece. I didnt have one, so I used vice grips and turned it by hand, work ok.

For the tap I used a 1/4 inch socket extension bar turned upside down, as was advised in another thread, worked perfectly.

    Use long phillips head screws
That way the parts fitters (Mechanics) will not strip them
