Yep i'm still making mine at that price.
Cargo barrier i'll buy at that price.
But gearbox, transfer is 1st killer... $3k rebuild.. might go for just a gear in the transfer and then build the lot later.
Steve
Mate 3k for a rebuild on the transfer case? Hell! 8O
Maxi-Drive are sending me a complete set of gears, comprising of a set of discovery high range gears and their own reduction low range gears, full bearing and seal kit for just over 2900!

Where did you get that pricing? Is that a dual position 4 Door wagon Milford Cargo barrier?
List Price from ARB $451.00 8O
Henry.
Don't go to ARB, they are cheaper just about everywhere else.

Great Pix.
I can see some improvments there. Chassis mount can be stronger and front and rear

Go easy, that might have been a yellow belly blue thrush bird....
I think they look fine for what he paid, i'd beef it up on the chassis mounts. Great idea and i'm going to pinch it.
Now i have a question.
Every defender has different spacing on the chassis, like they were hand built.
So how does one mass produce these and still they all fit??
Front mount i'd add and other bit to go further down the chassis
Rear id make it slid in the out rigger and bolt thru the existing holes.
Jack points are a damn good idea.

there appears to be hardly any penetration on those welds.. i would definately be beefing them up heaps if you intend to come down hard on those sliders...
yes i agree, for what he paid for them , they are quite good... however... cheap prices does not mean rubbish welds..
