    Zf bellhousing swap

    Anyone know if when I undo all the bolts mating the bellhousing to the transmission will any oil run out or should I drain the transmission first .

    The bolts dont enter any fluid cavity so should be ok.

    Hi,

    stand the box vertical when you do this or the pump housing may fall forward and the needle rollers will drop out of place,

    Thanks Dave .
    I pulled the bellhousing an hour ago while still insitue in the transmission tunnel after pulling the engine .
    Yep you got it now I need to fix the problem of the rollers dislodging somehow .
    Havnt worked that out yet .
