    How to install a winch.

Assume I'm an idiot (easy so far?) and please explain to me in easy words with pictures if possible how to install a winch into an ARB deluxe winch bar on a 1995 Defender.

Its a Magnum 9K winch but didnt come with any bolts, cables or instructions. (2nd hand) The solenoid pack is separate from the winch at the moment.

I can get the 'vehicle end' of the wiring from the traxide diagrams but
    1. How to actually mount it to the bar (it didnt come with any bolts so not sure what I need)
    2. How tro connect up the cabling at the winch motor and solenoid.

    Thanks.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Maybe I should have mentioned that - as per my sig line it's a 1995 Defender 130 - ARB Deluxe Bar so no separate cradle required.

I've got an ARB Deluxe bar (2013 bar on My12 110) and Ruvna 9K and it looks pretty similar to the Magnum 9K / Tabor 9K.
Bolts are M14 - M16 and about 40mm - 50mm of thread from memory. Nuts go in the feet of the side plates so 2 on each side. The feet mount up behind the vertical mounting plate on the bar, so all the bolts are horizontal. When your winching the bolts will only take a bit of side load so don't need to be anything special, they will need a large head or you will need some bigger washers as the holes are about 20mm.

I am in Keperra , so give us a call 0419 646 274 if you want to come over and have a gander over the break sometime

    Cheers Glen

    My post here might help:
    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/2276436-post16.html

3/8 high tensile. 1.5" long bolts for the top, and 2" long for the bottom.
Use the proper square nuts which you should be able to get from any 4wd accessories shop, and washers to suit.

Forgot to mention, I used 2" bolts on the bottom because I needed to go thru the hawse as well as the bar and winch. Would be best to measure your own setup before buying the hardware.
