zinc will have an electrolitic reaction with aluminium. you're best to use aluminium or stainless rivets or stainless screws

good to know, I was planning to use some.

another option is to drill a bigger hole in the panel, insert a plastic bung (or whatever they're called) that you screw a self taper into. Then it can be secured / tightened / removed at will. easily caters for future modifications.

    Hi Vlad
The tec term is "wafer head tek screws" 12mm or 16mm is what you need for most Landy jobs, the 32mm ones are also handy.
Great little beasties, screw in to anything with your cordless drill : 8) 8) 8)
Once you discover these you wont bother with pop rivits again!!!!!! I used 3 pop rivits when I painted the landy the other day, only to keep it looking rite!!! The first time I would have used a pop rivit in 10 years!!!

    Flare Rubber

The rubber strip used on flares such as the A9X type is also good to put in along the edge to stop ingress under the chequer plate. I had some in the shed from my Torana and used it on the chequer plate on the rear step bar. Works a treat.
