Hey, Tombie, no not on a D4, though I wouldn't mind one on my driveway.
The two Mack's that failed were only on the road a couple of weeks, when they were pulled over by Vic Rds for PBS checks. (Mass management, axle weights). The dealer had put on 35%, without realising that they already have a slight tint from factory.

The cops did say that when choosing a tint fitter, make sure you go with one that actually has said meter. Apparently not many do.

They do "allow" a couple of % either way. Not sure how official that is, that's just what I was told on the roadside.

Dark UV rejecting film is just fantastic
Bugger the tint, we should all just get around wearing these to prevent skin damage from UV:

    ...or not.

Heck, is that a Lada Niva?!

I'd never drive a car that you have to lean out and hold the roof on like so many faulty cars on the road these days. Also haven't found the need to have the arm out the window to catch the wind either. Weird sport that a lot of drivers partake in these days. It is illegal also.

Youre right! The Niva doesn't have the exposed hinges and the seam between the guard and front quarter

I'd put money on it being an early model 1275GT to be precise.

So I take it you don't drive a defender roverlord?

In my old deefers, the only way I could turn the wheel quickly without bashing my right elbow was to have the window down

    35-100% is legal.

Yes, you're right, of course. My bad. I was forgetting its 35% light coming through, not being kept out.

I drove a Lada Niva once - it was great to be able to wipe the inside of the rear window while still holding onto the steering wheel!
