G'day all,
Driving home from work today and got to the lights about 3k's from home, took off in 1st gear at the lights and BANG!!! The transfer had jumped out of hi range, not to worry put it back in and it did it again. Tried to hold it in and it kept pulling out evebn with my hand on it forcing it up to the hi range poisition. Si i assume I have a synchro or linkage problem, dunno????
Anyway, this has given me motivation to put the ZF auto in. I have the bits and so forth so this weekend is the time for it. not by choice but because now it';s become mandatory![]()
Just done the engine top end, first day out in 2 weeks (had to chase up another exhaust manifolsd for the RHS, the old one cracked when I had not put it on the benmch properlyops: ). Quite proud of myself and what i had achived with the top end overhaul (1st time I had done one) but now this. The hits just keep on coming!!!!!
I was planning on going away this weekend but not now since this little episode. I guess i'm jinxed when it comes to sundown NP. Last time I wanted to go the ZF auto in Aquarangie died and was looking forward to getting out there again. Not happy![]()

Trav
Hard luck Trav but at least you have that excuse to slot the auto in now.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
