changing oil filters disco II Td5

    HELP!!!!
new owner and today bought the filters etc to do the right thing. I found the main oil filter but can't undo it, and i have no idea where the 'centrifugal' filter goes.
I now have a disco with no oil in it awaiting some terrific advice!
How do you get enough grip on the main filter to undo it, and where is the centrifugal?
sooooon please... have to go to work monday!

to undo the main filter use an oil filter wrench or a very large pair of multi grips. apply as much pressure as you can and hold it as it will slowly loosen......its on a rubber seal and it slowly stretches and comes loose, so to speak. in other words, it wont just snap undone like a nut or bolt does....but rather slowly starts to turn until its loose.

the centrifugal filter is in an alloy dome next to the turbo....it has two 10mm bolts holding it down. when you replace it dont overtighten these bolts.

the oil you put in the engine will take about 5 to 10 mins before it registers on the dipstick. pour about 6 litres in then wait about ten mins before you check the level.
