    FREELANDER HELP!!!!!!!

    Hi,
    I am having trouble with my Freelander.

    At the moment it's not going.

    On Saturday I came around a corner and heard a small noise and the car stalled and would not start again. When trying to get it started it sounded like it was winding over really fast. I checked the plugs and the leads and it only seems to be sparking on the number 3 cylinder. I then checked the distributor and the sparks is only coming from 1 point. The car is a '98, 1.8L petrol model and has been mechanically sound to date. I don't have money for a mechanic at the moment so if anyone can offer some ideas as to what the problem might be or knows of someone in the Newcastle area who might, could you please reply to this message.

    but posting this in the tech forum would bring a much better result.
