    Water pump shaft play

    Hey guys,
in the process of replacing the timing cover gasket on the 3.9 Disco and I noticed a bit of play in the water pump. If I hold pulley in one spot and move it in and out I get about 2mm of movement. Is this excessive? Should there be any?

That's what I thought. Thanks once again bee utey, might be easier to just ring you next time. New fuel pump in, now I'll have to wait for a new water pump. I don't like this car anymore!
