    Choppin a 110

    Hey guys...

Anyone have any info regarding chopping a 110 wagon into a 4 door ute? Not sure how the rear would be finished and what to do with the roof.

Cost? Who would be the person to talk to in Bris?

    Thanks.

    Micka.

You dont have to chop, just get the right panels
you will need a Roof, rear section and i think that is it.

Yes if your selling the roof......

    Hey Steve,

    Where's yours damaged?

I need a D110 roof for my D100 project - but going to trim the last 10" off the roof, so if yours is damaged right at the back????

it's all bolt together, the only fabrication you will need is to fit a bulkhead behind the rear seats and mate the rear panel of the cabin to it.
by the way, you're gonna miss your wagon when your fridge is soaking wet and shorting out. so make sure you have a water proofing plan for when it becomes a ute.
a 40L engel sits level with the top edge of the ute, a tonneau or a hard lid will fit nicely over it.
while there is plenty of room in a wagon, you will find there is not that much in the ute, especially a dual cab ute.

    No I didn't.

I have been using the Fender to tow my buggy around and the wagon has come in very handy for carrying a ****e load of gear. I don't think it would have been possible with a dually ute.

I still think it would look horn though.

Any pics? All the info you care to post up would be appreciated. Still might look at it depending on $$$.

A few things can be done differently next time but love the general look.

Want to come catch you guys race one day... kept hearing Grimace talking about what you get up to (not that i've heard from him for a couple months).

    That looks excellent!!

Initially I was thinking of making it a tray back with a poxy little tray and cutting the chassis. My Fender had a 5" lift and ran 37" Creepies back then . Thankfully sense prevailed - and also looking at what Grimace did to his RR helped...a lot.

What was the ball-park cost? PM if you don't mind telling me.

As for seeing us on race day...the buggy is all but sold . Harley has another baby on the way and I am buying a house, so the plaything has to make way .

But I am sure we can keep the off-track antics alive and kicking in the not too distant future...namely Moreton Is for New Years
