Electric Windows on 93 vogue se

    Hi Guys,
I've been having intermittent problems with the operation of the rear windows on my 93 for a while. After a lot of frustration I pulled the Window lift ECU from beneath the centre console and attempted to find out what was up. I did this at least 5 times with little success.

Finally fixed it by examining all solder joints under a very strong light and a large magnifying glass. Found one poor soldered joint and sprayed the whole board with Jarcar's circuit Board cleaner paying close attention to the 5 small relays on the board. I even cleaned the contacts of those relays with cardboard.

    Windows now work perfectly, hurrah.

I now spray all fuse sockets and if I pull an electrical connector apart I give that a spray too. A number of small niggly electrical happenings seem to have gone away. Worth keeping a spray can in the garage.
    Cheers, Techron
