Workshop Ceiling Track
Can any one recommend or provide guidance on track systems for the ceiling of the garage to suspend and move things around the ceiling of my garage?
I have seen I beam trolleys but think these might be a little heavy duty.
I seem to remember my scout troop had a system for hanging kayaks in th roof of the hall that used tracks.
I was thinking of steel 'c' section with rollers inside it. the c section is easy its just finding/making suitable rollers to go inside it.
Cheers
John

There's a product called 'unistrut' that is used for this sort of thing, google should bring it up. The unistrut can be bolted or welded to brackets and roller trolleys run inside the strut much like a sliding garage door track.

ELTRACK is also suitable. We use it for sliding doors on big sheds. It comes in a range of load capabilities upto 650 Kgs.

+1 for the sliding door track & rollers , I have had one for years on an arm that rotates around a post in the shed , use it for lifting engines etc no problem
And relatively cheap compared to an I beam setup .
