I wouldn't, but all is not lost. Even a small compressor will draw a lot of power, more than a cig lighter can supply, but there is a 50amp supply in the back of the L322 behind the panel on the drivers side. There should be a spare maxi fuse holder on the main board in there - I'd connect a supply from there to a 50amp Anderson plug, stick a 50 amp fuse in the holder (if there's not already one there) and you can just leave it tucked behind the panel unless you want to use it - so no holes or sign of the modification.
I'll go take a pic and show you what I mean.
Edit - here you go - Ignore the big red wire that drops down to the bottom right of the pic - that's part of the Traxide dual battery kit (which I would highly recommend). If that terminal that I've marked 'connection point' has no wire in it (I've never seen a vehicle with it connected, but who knows) then you're good to go.
