Question Disco 1 V8 front axle changeover compatibility

Hi, I have a great large crack running through the front diff/axle housing of my Disco. My plan is to swap the entire assembly (ie housing, diff, axles, discs, etc) to save some time. I have a few locally to choose from though I'm not sure which models would be compatible.

I have a 1995 ES V8 with Abs, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

PS: how ****ing cool are Land Rovers?! This is my first Land Rover and I absolutely love it.

You will need a diff off another ABS vehicle as the non ABS diffs don't have the spots for the sensors or even the right CV's with external teeth for the sensors to read. However if you swap your swivel hubs complete off your vehicle onto the donor diff (only 6 bolts per side) then all you need to do is make sure the replacement diff has fine spline axles, ie is 1994 or later.

It's actually quicker to re-use your brakes as you won't have to bleed them, always fun with ABS.

Thanks for the info, that's exactly what I needed. I'll check the condition of the swivels and brakes off the donor compared to what I already have. I'll be bleeding my system anyway as I'm putting in extended lines. Thanks again for the info, this is the last big job before I put her in for a road worthy and I still have a lot of degreasing and sealing to do.
