i ground out the webbing & got it shaved flush again, never had a problem since.
it used to creak & make a few noises as it cooled (exhaust manifold) before but no more funny noises either since i done this
Anyone have any feedback on the upgraded exhaust manifold for the Td5, not cheap but a permanent fix apparently
Mine needs doing again and am considering a new one

Already cut and skimmed the manifold, its probably been on 2 years and its leaking again
do you think its's warped again or just the gasket?
the gasket is 2 pieces pressed together, im not so sure thats a good thing.
plenty will disagree tho

Where can you get them skimmed? Was thinking an engineering joint? Or engine builder?
Mine has a nice squeal at the moment

Did you elongate the manifold stud holes allowing the manifold to grow as such.
Did mine without dewebbing 3 years ago no more problems.

Good evening all.
Got a 2002 D2 TD5 and had the whistling noise between 2000-3000rpm now for few mths and pulled the heat shield off for a look today. Missing 1 front stud and back 2 nuts so guess that's the problem.
Any feedback on having this repaired South of Perth(without getting reared) or even a source for machined/exchanged/new manifold and I will try myself. I hope there could be new products/methods out there to eliminate future reoccurrence which members might know about. I think I have read most of the up to date posts on dewebbing, machining, ceramic coating etc.
Thanks in advance for any comments. Cheers.
