    2nd tank in a Defender

    OK
Mark (Camel_landy) has a 2nd tank under the drivers seat. It like a Series Tank.
Will a Series tank fit a Defender if you remove the tool box that is there??

And if so what model do i need to get??
    Series 1 2 or 3

They were a customer option so maybe have a look in the parts list and you might be able to cross reference the parts.

They do work well, when you select the other tanks it changes the fuel gauge etc.

On the LRE forum there is a lad named Streaky who runs a 130 out in Dubai who has done the mod, it might be worth contacting him to see what he used.

I've just finished installing the same tankes into my 90, I have a original 90 tank on the drivers side and a modded 110 one on the passenger side.
They are way different from the series tanks, as I had twin tanks in my S11a which I had sitting in my shed after I dismantled it, they wern't really a viable option. Buuuuut if you go to the american D90 websitehttp://www.d-90.com/mod/gas.html there is a article in there of a bloke that put a series tank into his D90, from memory it worked out to be a nightmare an he wished he'd just gone with the factory defender tank.
I've got all the part no's for the 110 underseat tank if you want.

Yea, if some one can take five minutes to explain to this computer illiterate L/R owner how to upload a pic to the forum.....
