Tail Lights
Getting ready for Rego, checking all the lights etc. Can anyone tell me which lights should be lit at the rear with just the tail lights on? the vehicle is a 95 disco V8 with 5 light clusters in the rear (hi mount brake light, sides and in bumper).
Silly question, I know, but when checking globes, discovered that the globes in the brake lights on either side are combined brake/tail, but the tail light part doesn't seem to work. Should they? Or are the only tail lights those in the bumper?
Thanks

95 -95
Tail lights in the bumper, indicators in the bumper, stop up the top, stop on the side body lights - fog in the sides and reverse on the sides.
Later disco 1s are different - I think they have indicators as above plus sides and tail lights as above plus sides. - not sure though

Garry is correct.
Parkers will be the Bumper lights and thats it.
Brakes will be High mount and the 2 fender lenses.
Indicators are Bumper.
After you get it on the road you can change these. direct wire the parkers to the fender ones as well..

Rear lights
If you have these type rear lights

then this is why the tailight function doesn't work

LR in it's wisdom snipped the feed for tail lights - the missing bit in the middle and the bit of metal that goes nowhere. If you want to upgrade, it's not just a case of buying a set of earlier or later D1 lights - pre 94 and post 96(?) have all the bits connected and blinkers in the side clusters. You have to splice a tailight feed into the connector, and add a blinker feed from the loom. A little bit tricky but do-able.
