    Disco S1 - Recovery points on ARB non winch bar

    High on the list of priorities when I got the Disco 8 weeks ago was fitment of some decent recovery points. I had been warned off using the eyelets on the ARB bar by a number of more experienced people, and they certainly looked a little light on for such a heavy truck. On the advice of said others, I decided to mount 2 hooks to the bar. I had to put some backing plates behind since the bar is only very thin folded sheet metal and I kinda got carried away.     That should do it!!!!
    But you will probably need heavier springs.
    They work fine just mounted next to the mounting point with a plate under. The problem otherwise is the top of the bar cosmetically twists.
    OVERKILL ENGINEERING!!! er that name is taken isn't it.

    It might well be overkill, but they are not actually too heavy considering how large they are.

    Now to start fabricating some diff guards... Mmmmm welding...
