    Methinks I have a problem.

My 12 y old deep cycle battery no longer holds its charge. What can I use it for?

drill some holes in it to drain the acid. use acid to clean toilet or any stainless steel.

put the battery in the incinerator, burn it

after the incinerator has rusted out, scrounge around in the ashes and recover the lead.

put lead in a ss pot on the BBQ burner to melt. scrap off the crap and poor some sinkers. or just tip it in a bead baking tray do you have some thing to hit in the shead

    Only 12 years old ?

Gosh, sounds like our Xpelair kitchen fan. Grub-screw came loose, the blades made a heck of a racket and scared the whatever out of us.. thought we'd be up for a new one ($215) Obviously the slack pommy worker was having a lazy day...

Hmm, this thread seems to be lead........ing somewhere? Problem is modern batteries have very little lead in them nowadays. Hard to even get a few 58cal musket balls out of them!
