Steering Guard for Defender.... Just fitted it

I have been sniffing around to find a Steering Guard for the Defender.
I found one at an ok price. It was close to home and under $200 so that made me happy.

I got it from

Made from Steel in 4mm, then galvenised.
Fitted perfect with no adjustments having to be made......

I jacked the front up off it and it did not budge....

Both are very helpful. Seem to have the contacts and know which makes ordering stuff for HS very easy. Would recommend them to others.

After bending my front steering rod a couple of weekends ago I'm keen to fit a guard.

I have to pick up some bushes from MR Automotive in Brisbane today, I'm hoping they have something similar otherwise I might give Landy Spares a call.

I have a steering guard which I got from Rovacraft which looks sort of similar. Yesterday I had the front left side jacked up (on the factory jack so suspension was extended), and I noticed that the track rod was resting on the guard. This means that the steering guard is actually reducing my suspension travel. 8O

Should have taken a photo.

I checked that with mine and its all clear on a STD Defender.

But with 2"lift it may change..
