Oil Leak Sealer ?
Up until recently my V8 Disco was leaking oil from both front and rear mains, washing the underside of the engine and transmission with what appeared to be litres of oil. Its amazing how little oil is actually lost on what looks like a major mess. However although being given a warning of the possibity of blocked oil galleries and the like by my eldest Landy owning [Camilla] son, I bit the bullet and purchased a container of S.T.P. oil leak sealer. Touch wood; at this stage after approx 2 weeks of running short trips around town, the oil leaks have reduced to only a couple of drips overnight. Maybe this stuff actually works. Have any other Landy owners used this or similar products or have I yet to see the error of my ways.

Some them just thicken the oil but some do soften the seals. Valvoline Max Life engine oil is supposed to do the same thing, but I've never tried it.
