I take it your vehicle is a rag top anyway, why put air in it, on the dusty roads it won't seal and you will be sucking dust anyway.

I hope you are not planning this for summer.
Don;t forget you don;t have to wear brown socks with sandals.

In any event whatever you decide it will be fun.
My 5c worth for the trailer, you can always ditch it if it becomes a problem you can;t do that when yur weighed dwon with gear,

No need for air con. I drove my old softop FJ40 (pre Disco days) Sydney to Darwin and Sydney to Perth with no air con. Long sleeve shirt and akubra hat and you can leave the top off all day. Perfect temperature at night too.

By the sounds of it problem solved, and looks like you will have plenty of people who will want to say hello to you. And yes no hanky on head(that was restricted for the italian concretors)
