TDI HEATER MATRIX
Hi people, some of you may remember me? I was previously a member but went under the guise as Crawfy? I have been busy with work and play restoring Landy's etc.
This time last year the Head was replaced on the Tdi300, at the same time I had the heater matrix replaced, but twelve months down the track it is leaking at my feet again!!!!
Has anyone got a good fix for this as I am really annoyed that I have to replace it again after 12 months!!!!!
Can I replace it my self ? Without having to rip the whole dash out?
Thanks

It may not be the heater matix but there O Rings that seal the pipes that connect to the matrix. Have a look on the drivers side of the heater, there are two aluminium pipes that have clamps that hold the pipes to the matrix. This clamp and O Ring arrangement is often a pig to reseal even with the new O rings and clamps that come with the matrix. A misalignment of the pipes will cause the leak, you may have to tweek the pipes to get a better alignment.
Better still take it back yo were it was fitted
