Screaching noise

A screaching noise developed this afternoon. Initially i thought it was a rock caught some where as it did it every now and then, now it only does it when you apply pressure to the right lock. I havent had the time to take the wheel off and have a look, but thought i would ask if anyone had any ideas on what to look for. It sounds like rock on metal, or maybe metal on metal. Matt

Check for a loose wheel bearing, allowing the disc to rub when side load is applied.

did you **** stacey off again??? come on tell the truth!!!!

now back to the task at hand!
have a look at the disc cover/wind deflecter thingy, attached to the
front discs. mine got bent(DS) onto the disc but it only made a noise on full lock! i put up with it for ages until it did it all the time!!!
one of the brackets broke/wore through and just kept rubbing on the disc.

i fixed it by taking them both off. that was 2yrs ago

phil

either that, or there is a rock stuck in the caliper/disc/pad area???
