I thought that was the oil centrifuge you could hear.
:?: I've had my 120k service and noticed when shutting down the TD5 the turbo is no longer winding down as normal.
Would this be a result of adjustment by dealer or failure?

I would far rather you never heard the turbo runing down, as it would be quite likely running down dry ... 8O 8O![]()

After I do an oil change I don't hear my turbo winding down for about 2000k - I assumed it was the nice new oil that quietened things down and it was the oil starting to dirty up that made the turbo wind down noisy - this reinforced the point to me about changing the oil and filter every 5000ks
