    D2 CV Diagnosis

    Happy New Year all,
I have developed a noisy gritty 'clunk clunk' when on RH lock in my TD5 D2.
I am pretty sure it's a CV as neither wheel bearing appears to have any movement.
    Thing is, which one?
I suspect the LHS as the clunk seems to be coming from that side.

That said, how long do these things keep clunking before they fall apart?

    Cheers
    Ralph

If it is a CV it'll probably be the one with the split boot , so left hand lock , look from the front while spinning the front left wheel that'll be jacked up off the ground , same vice versa for the other side, as to how long they last like that you might be OK for a while but I wouldn't leave it too long or go bush like that
    Happy new year to all
