RRC rear axle same as D1?

    Hello everyone,
Is the rear axle assembly (i.e. disc to disc) in a 1994 "soft dash" Range Rover a bolt in interchange with a 1998 Disco 1?
    Thanks

I think the only difference may be the position of the shock mounts, you may have one fore and the over aft of the diff.

Shock mounts are the same. The self leveling unit may not be there on the disco, not sure what year they stopped them on the rangies. They both probably have ABS brakes.

My Disco is the poverty pack model so no ABS. Excellent, thanks to you both!

You could get a diff cheap from pick a part out of a disco.

Exactly the same , poverty pack 98 D1 mechanicals bolted straight into 95 RRC LSE ( obviously softdash ). Not sure about transferring ABS bits from RR.

    LoanRangie,
This one has a locker and Maxis in it, so an easy upgrade!
