Discovery & Range Rover Diffs
Does anyone know if the Disco2 Diff is the same as the Range Rover Classic Diff? I just have an ARB locker in my Disco and would like to remove it and put it in the front of my '77 Rangie.
I have a maxidrive in the rear which I got 2nd hand but cannot afford to get one for the front. I know I will have to replace the axels with maxidrive 24spline jobbies to fit but this is cheaper than a locker and I probably need maxidrive axels anyway the way i drive.

disco has fine spline axles early rangie ha coarse. as far as i know all axles and diffs interchange. front axles on a disco are attached to the cv where as a early rangie both axles are seperate to the cv

Thanks Michael. I also spoke to maxi-drive and they make axels to suit as well but it seems that JacMac may be a fair bit cheaper.
