TD5 Chipped

I've read about the better power of chips but what about fuel use. Is it better or worst than standard ? I'm currently getting combo of 11/100km out of my TD5 Auto.

I've got the big chip and intercooler on the Disco and despite the power gains, economy has remained about the same.

How can you tell if you're chipped? Perhaps test book? Perhaps a drag race.

Hi Slunnie
Gave it a bit of Jip the otherday,110ks in fifth floored it,160ks came up pretty quickly.
It seems to have plenty of get up and go for a diesel.

I got 9.2 l / 100 km out of the 300Tdi's last tank. But 160km/h is not a target nor is there any where to plug in a chip.

Oh wow! If 160km/h came up quickly or even at all then my bets are that you're chipped!

Hi Slunnie
Exactly what my auto elecy mate said,I reckon it still had more to go,but there were bends and I didnt really want to test the ACE out.
It goes really well passing road trains,no waiting for huge flat or downhill sections.
The wind noise around the windows is a tad annoying
