Here is my key, so I am missing something on the pcb board? In between the two silver points of solder? Yes that's what I thought with the button.

Yes , you are missing the microswitch.

Jaycar have them. You do not need the exact one, just as long as it is the same size.

Ok thats weird, when the button came out it didn't a micro switch didn't come out apart of it or anything. it musn't have been in the key when the car was given to me.

So i just placed a small bit of metal between the two contact points and the car unlocked and i could lock it again.

Now that i have the new housing on the way. i will see what i can do about getting a new microswitch re soldered back onto my key and the new button and housing will hopefully work as intended. no recoding or new key needed.

Thanks for your help this whole time really appreciate it PhillipA and other contributors .
