hopefully it can go to the sills with no worries . thinking more of coming over the bonnet .

I wouldn't think, from a mechanical view providing there is a snorkel, much would stop a diesel however TD5 are EFI aren't they ? So the computer is the more vunerable than the motor when comes to water.

There is a drain hole in the underseat compartment that lets water out of the area that houses the ECU. Very effective...but it also happens to let water in :roll:

Get LR to plug the hole and have them document that it is a concern for you. Then if you know that you are going thru deep crossings, put some silicone seal around the lid. That will see you past most deep crossings.

If you are planning on doing deep crossings consistently, you can have the ECU relocated to up on the roof - inside, of course.

TD5 Discos seem to have an issue with the fan bending & clobbering the radiator in water. But so do 100 series landcrushers.

Theres a few posts about this on the Aussie Yahoo D2 board, might be worth joining that.
