Installation time is about 30mins to 1hr actual. I have no doubt a sparky would do it 15.
I am wondering if there are any D2 owners (or anyone who knows the D2 electrics well) on the Gold Coast (I live in Robina) who would be willing to assist with the fitting (pretty much fit entirely) of a speedo correction unit to my manual '99 D2 TD5 - i'm happy to travel. I have zero electronics experienceops: and lack the necessary tools such as solder iron, GPS etc.
Happy to talk cash or beer or parts or something in exchange for help from an experienced hand.
Looking at 2 units at the moment so any advice before I buy is very much appreciated. 1st Unit (most expensive) is the Truspeed unit from 4x4 Design & Engineering. 2nd possibility is from Marks Adaptors. Would appreciate any feedback on either or any other suggestoins. I know Slunnie has used the Truspeed unit and is pretty happy with it, but have no info on any others. Unit needs to fix my cruise control off the ABS and adjust speedo to accomodate 32" rubber and 4.11 gears. I beleive the Truspeed has a 2 tyre size setting although I will probably be sticking with the one as I run muds on it the whole time.
All genuine help and experince appreciated!!
Aye, Mick

Hi Guys,
Can I ask what these devices cost?
A year or so ago, I designed and built a converter for a bloke who had an EFI Commodore 202 engine in a heavily modified Series III. He wanted to use a Commodore electronic speedo too but needed to modify the frequency generated by the SIII transmission to match the Commode-door speedo.
If my design is economical, perhaps I should develop a production version??
