the subject is side steps, not how to rid yourself of unwanted in-laws.

THe reason I don't want the steels is because of the mount of beach work I do. The car goes beach/bush about 10/1. I'm worried about the rusting problem.

I guess I don't want something too obtrusive - just enough to help the little lady get in.

Seems harder than I thought

If they are properly powdercoated then they should take longer to rust than the chassis rails they bolt to

I think TJM still make full side rails and steps for 110s if you dont want sliders.

Thinking of fitting a genuine Land Rover food down side step to the passenger side of my 110
to help Mrs get in to her seat

I know these things bolt to the chassis rail .....but when folded up do they hand down much and reduce clearance ?

i also have rock sliders fitted but the are narrow and not really suitable as a step
I’m wondering if having these would make fitting a side step difficult

any advice appreciated

Have you looked at the ones on the websites for:
• APT Fabrications
• The Expedition Centre

Might be worth considering, if you haven't already.
