    Defender spots wiring.

    Hi Jimmy.
I wired mine up to a OME switch I got from Barbagallos and installed it into one of the facia blank spots on my Td5. It looks really neat.

The power comes from the high beam on L/H headlight and the wire to the switch goes through the bulkhead via a relay and into the back of the facia.
I've yet to the switch get it to light up when the other lights come on but I'll attack it one day soon.

Have a go I say. It's a great way to learn stuff and at the end of the day there is great satisfaction. A "professional" won't let you look over their shoulder and it will all be shrouded in mystery.

The diagrams offered by Drivesafe will get you there if you are prepared to do some thinking.

I used a two way switch which when on activates the driving lights when High beam is on. When you dip the highs the spots switch off as well.

Hi Jimmy, have a go and there are enough people here to guide you through starting from the very basics and if your interested, it could be run in conjunction with the two projects on lights in the Project and Tutorial section.

If you do and need any help, I'll try and post pics to make it easier for you and anybody else that might want to try.

    Cheers.
