    High Beam Switching Wire

    Hi People,

Fitting a set of IPF 900xs spotties to the D4. It has a wiring harness and it uses the high beam wire from under the dash. I know there are two different colours for LH and RH at the lights but does anyone know the colour of the wire from inside?
    Cheers
    Scott.

The wire from the high/low beam switch will only be a trigger wire for the BCM and is likely grounded on high beam. Probably simplest to pick-up a high beam power wire just before the connector at one of the headlights.

Thanks Graeme, thought it was worth a shot, save having to extend the switching wire back to to the headlight but as you say it's probably easier.

I did that too with my IPF loom, just picked up the high beam wire from behind the headlight.

Unless it's changed that's where IPF tell you to pick up from (headlight).

Trigger colour on IPF loom was always Yellow/Brown trace

Used the left hand side headlight which is the blue/grey trace.(found it easier to get too) The right may be the yellow brown? The light works so all good.
    Cheers
