Got that lovely scent of damp carpet.

So either i got a little water inside after the river crossing last weekend or the old leaking heater core/ perished o-ring's.
No obvious green stains on the carpet or leaking pipes so will have to remove some stuff to have a good look, would explain the gurgling i have going on in the core.
Are the o-rings anything special ?

Time for a steam clean on the carpets. Makes a huge difference.

I found the underfloor mat on my rrc to be soaked but was from firewall/windscreen issue. I removed it, did some rust repairs, then pulled the carpets out for vac/ steam clean. Fwiw Godfreys sell the commercial carpet cleaning solution and it works a treat. You can even use it in the gerni, if you have 'problem stains' like 5 litres of ATF spilled on the rear floor.......
