    TD5 Wont fire

    .
    Brains trust please.
    D2, 2001, auto. (fitted into a Defender)
Turns over but will not start.
Nanocom talks to SLABS, BCU and engine ECU,
SLABS ECU has logged "ground reference" fault - this due to the ABS modulator being unplugged and shouldnt prevent a start.
Learn security code conducted, Engine ECU is "not imobilised"
Key fob working and activates the alarm central lock etc.
Injectors can be activated, fuel pump runs and has pressure to regulator.
CPS sensor swapped. all relays and fuses checked and swapped out.
Injector codes are correct and I can modify all settings in all ECUs without problem. I have disabled the alarm and security settings but no change.
    Im kind of stumped.
No faults logged in the engine ECU. Only the SLABS ECU has faults associated with the ABS being disconnected.

    What have I missed?
I am revisiting the earth points, but am stumped from here.
I may have to try and find another ECU to test,
    Ideas suggestions??

Is there a scrunched up rag stuffed in the air intake some where? Stupid suggestion probably. It's just that I stuff rags into openings when doing the type of long term refurb.

Diesel start problems really should be just about fuel, air and exhaust. I might be thinking Isuzu era diesel.

No rags, though I caught my reflection looking like a scrunched rag

Oh well thats me done. It does seem something is not talking to other things in the correct order maybe. EG it cranks, but the ECU is failing to tell the injectors to fire correctly, although the Nanacom can pulse them ok? Going to lie awake thinking about it now!

Are you getting any smoke out the exhaust at all?
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

No smoke from the exhaust at all.
For sure the injectors fire on test, which has me beat what could stop them in the start sequence.
It did run on a whif of aerostart.
