    Question Will a D1 winch bumper fit a D2

    Hi all,

I bought a D1 winch bumper to see if I could modify it for my P38. Short answer: it's possible, but I would have to modify way to much.

So, I'm going to sell it to a woman with a D2 but I am not sure if it'll fit and she does live quite a bit away, anyone here who can help me out?

    Thanks!

It will also have to be airbag compatible as D2 have airbags

The mounts are actually the same, (identical spacing and bolt pattern) and depending on the bar it may or may not line up quite well with the body.

    I have a D1 bullbar on my D2 currently.

You need to specify what bar it is.

Some british built thing, I do not have a brand / type for it. It came in plain steel, uncoated so that I may still modify it. I have added two pictures, perhaps you can tell from that?

    Thanks!

The mounts will need modifying, as you can't push the bar down the D2 chassis rail far enough to facilitate the third mount hole.

The wings will also be too long for a D2 as they have larger arches.

    Thanks mate!

I'll inform the potential buyer. To bad I live in europe else I'd throw that thing up here for sale but shipping would probably be rediculous.

Looking at the bar, and especially with it being raw, it wouldn't be a hard thing to do, slice off the rearward mount points, and cut the wings a little shorter.

I'm building a custom bullbar for my D2 (using ARB crush cans to keep it legal and keep the engineer happy), and that looks like a pretty good base. May even have made an offer if it wasn't on the other side of the world!
