    Defender Centre Diff

    Hi,

I have been looking for a Defender more for bush bashing.
I'm preferring the TD5 over the TDi, but there are two types of defenders - one with a centre diff and one without.

What is the general opinion of the centre diff
I'd guess it is better to have the centre diff ?
but is it possible to add a centre diff to TD5 defender that didn't come with one from the factory ?

    thanks.

My understanding is that all Defenders have a centre diff and diff lock.

Are you thinking of a Discovery 2 that didn't have a diff lock on its centre diff?

sorry i did mean the centre diff lock ... ops:

i know the disco II when first introduced didn't have one
then the MY2003 onwards had one

but i was looking at defenders and in the redbook specs for 2001 models
before Nov01 there is no mention of the centre diff, but the models after Nov01 have the mention of the centre diff (and presumably the diff lock)

    any ideas?
