    2.25 diesel motor cactus

Hi everyone, here's a few pics of the diesel motor that I pulled the head off today... It's got us stumped as to what has actually happened here and how.
    What's everyone's thoughts?
Btw if anyone has a spare 2.25 diesel for sale...

in this case the precombustion chambers have dropped down or its breathed some junk in through the inlet which have knocked them loose.

IVe seen similar marks in a perentie that dropped the end off a glow plug and one that someone chucked a handfull of 3mm ball bearing balls into the inlet runners before putting the inlet manifold on.

Funny enough, I saw almost identical damage to a Toyota 2.4L diesel last week.... Pre-combustion chamber ended up in the pot, and totalled piston, block and head....... Apparently it was making a "clicking noise like a stick in the fan", so old matey stops for a squiz, and it just seized. Well that's the story I got anyway!!

It has dropped a precombustion chamber. I have seen it happen a few times before.

I have one I am thinking of selling, but I am a long way from you...
