    Michelin XZL Tyres

    Hi all,

Following an email enquiry, I've just been officially advised by Michelin Australia, that Michelin XZL tyres have ceased production. See content of email below.

...Curiously they ceased production one month after the end of production of Defender.

"Production of the Michelin 7.50R16C 116N O/R 4x4 XZL ceased in March 2016. All stock in our warehouse has been exhausted.

We do provide a 7.50R16 Agilis. See link for more information: Michelin Australia Truck and Bus Tyres - Agilis

    Kind Regards,
    The Michelin Australia Team

Thanks mate. Doesn't look like any of the recommended line are a straight replacement for the xzl though
    Cheers, BDave.

I know, it's disappointing. I emailed them back asking about why that is the case. Will let you know if they reply. I expect it is the global trend towards highway biased 4x4 vehicles.

Supply and demand - little demand for an off road tyre in that size compared to thier output I would imagine.

A real shame, glad a scored a set a couple of months back.

Hmmm, wonder what someone is prepared to pay for 5 brand new ones yet to be fitted to rims... Any bidders...?

    They're old and obsolete.

I'll take them off your hands and I won't even charge you for the removal.
